Custom Made Patrol/Assault Pack or Bergen
After making my own PLCE, I figured I should try and make my own pack. Kind of a cross between an Alice Pack and a Northern Ireland Patrol pack.

Custom PLCE belt kit

I decided to sew my own PLCE belt kit. It was a great project and turned out well. Below are links to videos for my IFAK and the video for the sheath adapter for the Gerber knife. ua-cam.com/video/K_3rqsKAsWg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/kOREU7h92TU/v-deo.html

Overview of my Patrol / Assault / 24 hour pack. Basic contents that I keep loaded. It’s easy to quickly add some items or change some things up, but it’s a good basic load for me. Pack is an LBT-8007A First aid kit/IFAK video ua-cam.com/video/K_3rqsKAsWg/v-deo.html Homemade MRE ua-cam.com/video/B0MsT5mqsN0/v-deo.html

Alice Pack (and Mods-Follow up response to Brent0331 contest)

This is a follow up response to my entry for @Brent0331's contest. After the fact, I decided to switch up packs. It is already one of the changes I would have made to my load out. Waiting for the results to see if I get any other ideas to change my gear up. Also, @blackdissident6758 just posted a video showcasing his new Crossfire pack. ua-cam.com/video/foyFT5B3Lks/v-deo.html He asked what ty...

Forget to mention the rifle cleaning kit that is in the PLCE pouch with the MRE and the spare batteries that are in the front slot of the PLCE pouch with the water bottle and water filter @Bre...
First Aid Kit and IFAK/Trauma Kit

Overview of the small first aid kit and IFAK/Trauma Kit I carry in my bags, packs, and kit. Here is a link to a study discussing hemostatic agents....... www.realfirstaid.co.uk/haemostatics Proper wound packing and direct pressure are the most important actions, and must be done in conjuction with either compressed gauze or hemostatic gauze. Thanks for watching!
5 gallon food prep
Переглядів 1382 роки тому
Working on food preps. This is meant as a quick grab and go option. I was able to prepare all of this for about $160, including food, buckets, and mylar bags. Using both the 5 gallon bucket and mylar bag may be overkill, but I prefer the extra protection they both provide. I would also like to give a shout out to @Renaissance MarineTV. He is definitely the catalyst for me getting this prep toge...

Homemade camping meal/MRE
Переглядів 4842 роки тому
This is what I use as a simple one bag daily ration for camping along the lines of an MRE. It provides just over 1500 calories and can easily be supplemented with something else to round out the daily caloric needs. It weighs 20 ounces So very similar to an MRE.

Eberlestock Jackhammer
Переглядів 6 тис.8 років тому
Just a basic review of the features of the Eberlestock F52 Jackhammer. This is the "legacy" version which has an actual Alice frame in it. Eberlestock has upgraded to a newer proprietary frame. www.eberlestock.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=E1&Product_Code=F52M-L&Category_Code=BB
well done. $2000 worth of time and material.. lol.. I do the same thing.. just love making my own stuff or just simple mods or improvements to existing. thanks for sharing.
😂😂 only $1000 of material. Honestly it was less than $200. Now cost on my time? That was too much to figure. It is rewarding being able to make my own stuff. I also made a pack with the leftover material. And now I’m modding an Austrian Alice pack.
@@cap6888 right.. my 2k reference was more about time.. I can spend hours in the basement drawing cutting and sewing up cool stuff.. it lead me to learher work as well..
Which camo is your backdrop ?
The backdrop is a Dutch DPM poncho
Great video very informative and thanks for sharing!
Good stuff
EXACTLY The Kodiak as a sling pack SUCKS. worst pack I have ever owned. IF the Kodiak had 2 straps and the weapon pocket was 24-25" tall it could be one of the best SBR packs around.
Great content and presentation. Your channel is the master class I was looking for! (Found you through Brento331) Definitely checking out your other videos. My goal is solid 24 and 72 hour packs for Civil Air Patrol SAR missions. THANKS!
Thanks for the kind words.
that is fuckin awesome, dude. If you ever think of upgrading your yoke; i STRONGLY suggest the genuine JayJays patrol yoke. Its kinda like a fighting load carrier but with adjustable webbing on the sides and padding in the shoulders. You mount your belt kit to the patrol yoke and now you can carry your radio, a water bladder, machete or hatchet, navigation equipment, all that shit can be up high for quick access. I built my forestry vest around PLCE belt kit and the patrol yoke and its king shit
Dude, did you sew this yourself??
Yessir. But don’t zoom in and look at the stitch lines. 😂 Frankly it was actually a bit easier than the PLCE to sew. It’s nothing but a big pouch in essence. Bigger scale makes it easier to work.
@@cap6888 very Impressive, you hit all the right features
@@CitadelDefense1 Thanks. Tried to roll in all the features I’ve liked in other packs.
@@cap6888 fantastic job
Nicely done cap, some good ideas on there..what is the weight loaded..atb from UK 🇬🇧.
With the “bum roll” and water, 28 pounds.
@@cap6888that a decent weight you including 6 mags with that.
@@vikingmitch4049 it’s got 8 mags in it. But that’s just because I had the extras laying around when I packed it.
That pull tab setup is awesome!
😊
6 mags is NOT the syandard load....
AWESOME Video! I am a BIG Fan of the TAP system and been working on mine for the past year but your idea of using the Danish LBS is Outstanding and I am going to be ordering a set for my two USMC TAPs that I have that currently have Amazon ACETAC SOP shoulder rig straps which are for Haley Strategic Chest rigs. I did find that the Magazine Pouch Kydex inserts that Amazon sells that are very similar to the Haley Strategic ones work GREAT on the Outside magazine pouches of the TAP plus it adds extra Rigidity to the Rig to keep everything nice and tight. I added the Kydex Mag pouch inserts to all my mag pouches and also added shock cord that was thicker 1/8 inch with the Haley Shock Pull Tabs which are made of a synthetic rubber that keeps the mag in place but since I cut the shock cord just a hair longer and I have Ranger Plates for ALL my Magpul Pmags the Mag Pouch Tab just gets out of the way! This system is a MAJOR Improvement over the Tactical Vests that I had to wear back in 2003-09 while I was in the Navy and was assigned to Harbor Security Team and our Blackhawk vest had a flotation device added to them by the PR Shop. I split my time between flying down the channel in a 31 foot RIB that was very well armed or riding in the Helo on over watch with the Sniper Rifle.
What generation ILBE lid did you use?
Not sure.
I´m pretty sure it´s Gen 1. They come with some PALS webbing at the underside as shown. Gen 2 ILBE doesn´t have that any more. Maybe that helps you out.
I love the current issue TQ pouches. They are great
MEDIUM ALICE ROCKS 👍💪🪂🪂🪂
Big Army should have adopted the SOCOM SFLCS Rhodesian Reconnaisance Vest RRV for use as a chest rig and minimalist armor protection in the jungles of Southeast Asia and Western Pacific. Use a 3 mag Kangaroo insert in the top opening, add your GP/Frag/Banger pouches across the front. The TAP is 2 pockets too wide. Sew some 2" loop velcro to the TAP Y Harness underside so you can stick on shoulder pads when used without the IOTV/SPV. If the TAP is your personal property, you can cut off most of the 2" nylon webbing used for the mag flaps, leave about 1" left, fold it in half, then set a #00 brass grommet in the center through both layers to convert it to bungee retention; Esstac kydex inserts are even better but cost $. The A-TAP Airborne Tactical Assault Panel is supposed to be approved for use Force-wide eventually. Use the ATAP as an LBE/Belt Order Rig with the capability to clip on a 3 or 4 mag wide chest panel module (like the SADF 1983 Pattern) for additional reloads for MOUT or operating a vehicle.
At one point I was thinking of buying a taps just to customize it… CIF looks bad on you if you cut their stuff up lol
Use the original pack lid As a storm cover when you sense down the main compartment might help keep the moisture out I don’t know.
If the time constraint was too tight for a full runthrough, Record full length vid, speed up until it meets the 10 min limit then submit. You have submitted an encrypted 10min video that needs slowing down to gain the info within, thus securing it against enemy forces :-p Assess, adapt, advance. 🤘
Shalom
Хорошая сумка ! ❤ Содержимое отличное и обвес прекрасный ! 😊
Let’s go! For whatever reason I didn’t get a notification about this, even though I see you tried to tag me. In any event, this looks awesome, gonna look for that surplus bag. I feel honored you made this video.
I think I either got it from Coleman’s Surplus, Sportmans Guide, or Varustelka.
Noice and my question is the weight of the bucket including a 15 or 20 pound bag of rise
Bucket weighs 15 ish pounds. 2 gallon bucket with 15 pounds of rice weighs less than 16 pounds.
@@cap6888 thanks really appreciate
Hiya mate great video! You’ve probably already found out by now but those side pouches found on the side of the British haversack are primarily used for spare canisters and decontamination kit, but like you said they can hold any manner of items!
I'm a huge proponent of the TAP! Clean set up, I was debating the same harness but don't need or want 3 of them lol. I currently have my main TAP set up using spiritus h harness and waist belt.
Mf really just made this bag to justify those smokes.
What dry bags are you using?
Just bought a pack from Amazon. The one for the sleeping bag is SealLine bag though.
Awesome vid!
Maybe add a compass & Multitool. Just subscribed.
Did Mr Alic introduced this bag?
try using double sided velcro on the actual bladder and see if that sticks good on to the backpack
Hi, thanks for showing. I´m also a big fan of the ALICE pack. The shoulder harness from the FILBE USMC pack fits really good on the ALICE frame, way better than the MOLLE2 shoulder harness. Compare it, maybe it will be something for you. Best regards from Germany, Torsten
is having 5 smokes really necessary? i feel like you'd need a lot of air assets or something, or participate in a large urban firefight for that to be useful.
You never know what you’ll encounter when you’re on foot in a grid down scenario, or what kind of desperate people you may encounter, or even what their intentions may be. It’s better to have it and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it.
@@user-sb9fw6ui2i you can say that about a lot of things, before you know it, you've got everything and the kitchen sink
I use the filbe pack on alice frame but I'm making shoulder pad and straps to add a touch of comfort
Great video, well put together. Keep up the great work.
Much appreciated!
Details/link to improvised carry handle?
I used fuel line that I got at Home Depot, then ran gutted 550 cord through it and attached it around the frame.
@@cap6888 thanks!
new sub here bro, u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active ! , would love to talk more, only have email here though , daily on my person beastknife e.d.c.'er here as well, talk soon > tom !
How many calories do you have in one package?
About 1500 calories.
Goot kit love the smoke grenades
Like your content. Just subscribed. Need to go back and watch the rest of your videos
Pretty cool. Spiritus Systems does make their own upgrade kit for the TAP.
Yeah and it's nearly $200 for just the upgrade kit.
Great job. What was the hydration carrier?
EMDOM Vehicle Hydration carrier.
Where did you order the smokes? Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!
Enola Gaye smoke grenades.
You are correct: The MOLLE II canteen/GP pouch is one of the smarter things to come out of Natick.
Swiss army bottle and cup..
Congrats on winning! Definitely interested to see your thoughts on following up. Please let me know if you're doing any training like 1s in the future.
Man the molle waist pack as a bottom shelter holder is a great idea never thought of it
Did you modify the e-tool pouch to have standard ITW nexus buckles? It looks like the Dutch Molle E-tool cover, with a different buckle. If so, how hard was it to modify, and how did you go about doing that? Great content, really looking forward to your future videos; the Alice Pack video was great!
Thanks for the comment. Yes I did modify it. It was easy enough to do. Seam ripper and a razor to remove the buckle and straps for the existing Spanish buckle. I used a Surface mount female buckle, which is super simple. Just line up where the four holes need to be for the underside of the buckle. I heated up a Phillips screw driver with a light and poked holes through. Then finished snapping the female buckle together. Quick sew job for a strap for the male buckle. Super easy, less than 15 minutes. Took the most time to heat up the screw driver.
this is secretly Brett
I was a paratrooper in the British Army, and I see you’ve got a lot of British Army kit. That’s quite a load to carry I’d like to see it when it’s all together nice one mate. And I’ve just subscribed to your channel.
